Websol energy system to seek director reappointment approval again

Websol Energy System Limited has announced a postal ballot to seek shareholder approval for the reappointment of Sanjana Khaitan as wholetime director (executive). This follows a previous proposal for her reappointment being defeated at the annual general meeting held on September 29, 2025.

The board, acting on renewed recommendations from the nomination and remuneration committee and the audit committee, approved the proposal for a three-year term at a remuneration of INR 1,10,00,000 per annum, excluding perquisites and allowances. Khaitan, who joined on November 12, 2022, holds a bachelor's in commerce and a postgraduate degree in finance. She has been instrumental in the company's solar manufacturing capacity expansion, including the 600 MW solar cell line and 550 MW solar module line, with plans for a 4 GW solar cell line and 4 GW solar module line.

The remote e-voting period for this resolution commences on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. IST, and concludes on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. IST. Only shareholders whose names appear on the register of members or beneficial owners as of the cut-off date, Friday, October 10, 2025, are eligible to vote.
