CCI approves Torrent Pharma’s acquisition of J. B. Chemicals

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited announced on October 21, 2025, that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has granted approval for its acquisition of a controlling stake in J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. This approval is subject to the parties complying with voluntary modifications that will be outlined in CCI's final order.

The acquisition follows a media release titled "Torrent Pharma to acquire controlling stake in J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals from KKR," dated June 29, 2025. This was further followed by stock exchange intimations on July 3, 2025, and September 23, 2025, regarding the transaction.

Chintan M. Trivedi, company secretary, signed the announcement, made in accordance with Regulation 30 and other applicable provisions of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
