Coal India appoints Dr. Anjani Kumar as executive director

Coal India Limited has appointed Dr. Anjani Kumar as executive director (contracts), effective October 17, 2025. This appointment positions him as senior management personnel, one level below the board of Coal India Limited.

Dr. Kumar holds a B.Tech and Ph.D from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, along with an MBA (HR) from SMU. His extensive career at Coal India includes various capacities at both the field and corporate levels, such as vigilance, CMC, and TS to CMD since joining in April 1993.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Kumar worked at P&P Deptt., MCL until October 16, 2025, before transitioning to CIL HQ. This disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), Regulations 2015, and SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024.
