Zen Technologies completes full acquisition of Applied Research International

Zen Technologies Limited announced on October 17, 2025, the completion of its 100% acquisition of Applied Research International Private Limited (ARIPL). This follows the initial purchase of a 76% equity stake in February 2025, making ARIPL a wholly-owned subsidiary. The acquisition significantly enhances Zen Technologies’ footprint in diversified simulation and defense technology, particularly extending its expertise into naval and marine domains.

The company previously disclosed its intent to acquire 100% of ARIPL and ARI Labs Private Limited (ALPL) through an investment of up to INR 1,27,50,00,000 for ARIPL shares and INR 2,50,00,000 for ALPL shares, as stated in a February 14, 2025, disclosure. ALPL also became a wholly-owned subsidiary in February 2025. This integration positions Zen Technologies to deliver comprehensive multi-domain simulation and training systems, reducing foreign dependency and improving operational readiness across Indian armed forces.

Ashok Atluri, chairman and managing director, emphasized that the acquisition marks a significant step towards a comprehensive simulation portfolio across the defense spectrum. It is expected to enable the design and development of new products for naval markets and support ARI in competing for large contracts, strengthening Zen's position in land and sea simulations and setting the stage for expansion into the air domain.
