Sequent Scientific gets tax notice, plans to respond

Sequent Scientific Limited announced on October 16, 2025, that it has received a show cause notice (SCN) from the Deputy Commissioner State Tax, Thane Maharashtra, concerning Goods and Services Tax (GST) issues. The SCN pertains to an alleged discrepancy in Input Tax Credit availed for April 2024 and proposes a penalty of INR 2,414,120.

The company stated it is reviewing the SCN and plans to decide on its course of action. Sequent Scientific believes the SCN has no merits and intends to submit its response to the authority within the stipulated timelines.

Despite the notice, Sequent Scientific does not anticipate any material financial, operational, or other impact on its activities. The company's compliance officer, Yoshita Vora, signed the announcement.
