REC concludes sale of two power transmission subsidiaries

On October 17, 2025, REC Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), completed the sale of two project-specific subsidiaries: Ananthapuram II Power Transmission Limited and SR WR Power Transmission Limited. The entire shareholding of both entities was transferred at par value to the successful bidders, Shivalaya Construction Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, respectively.

The share purchase agreements for both transactions were executed on October 17, 2025. RECPDCL received professional fees of ₹17.70 crore (including taxes) plus expenses for the Ananthapuram II Power Transmission Limited sale, and ₹10.63 crore (including taxes) plus expenses for the SR WR Power Transmission Limited sale. These transactions are not considered related-party transactions.

As of the effective date, these two entities are no longer subsidiaries of RECPDCL and REC Limited. The consideration for these transfers was determined in accordance with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
