NHPC commissions 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan

NHPC Limited has officially declared the commercial operation (COD) of its 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project/Plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan, effective October 16, 2025. This declaration follows the successful trial run completion of the fifth and final phase, encompassing 85.72 MW of the project's capacity, on October 10, 2025.

The commercial operation was sanctioned after receiving approval from the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) on October 16, 2025. This development is in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

This full commissioning marks a significant step for NHPC in expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to the nation's green energy objectives.
