Fino Payments Bank reappoints Rishi Gupta as managing director & CEO

Fino Payments Bank's board of directors approved the re-appointment of Rishi Gupta as managing director and chief executive officer for three consecutive years, effective May 2, 2026, to May 1, 2029. This decision, recommended by the nomination and remuneration committee, is subject to approvals from the Reserve Bank of India and shareholders.

Gupta is not debarred from holding office by any SEBI order and is unrelated to any other director or key managerial personnel. He is a qualified chartered accountant and cost & management accountant, holding a bachelor's degree in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi.

With 31 years of experience primarily in financial services, Gupta was a founder of Fino PayTech Limited, serving as chief operating officer and chief financial officer from January 1, 2007, before becoming MD & CEO. He is recognized with multiple awards, including "CFO100 Roll of Honor" (2011-2013) and the "CA Entrepreneur-Path Breaker Banking & Financial Services" award (2018) from ICAI.
