Benares Hotels reports Q2, H1 FY26 results; Taj Ganges expansion nears

Benares Hotels Limited (BHL) reported unaudited financial results for the second quarter (Q2) and first half (H1) ended September 30, 2025. For Q2 FY26, the company recorded revenue of INR 25.5 Cr, EBITDA of INR 9.9 Cr, and profit after tax of INR 6.1 Cr. For H1 FY26, revenue stood at INR 52.3 Cr, EBITDA at INR 21.7 Cr, and profit after tax was INR 13.7 Cr. These results were reviewed by the audit committee and approved by the board of directors on October 16, 2025.

The financial results indicate a marginal decrease in Q2 FY26 revenue and profit after tax compared to Q2 FY25 (INR 25.8 Cr revenue, INR 7.2 Cr PAT), while H1 FY26 shows a slight increase in revenue and profit after tax over H1 FY25 (INR 50.1 Cr revenue, INR 13.6 Cr PAT). The company also announced that the new wing of Taj Ganges, comprising 100 additional rooms and a restaurant, is expected to be operational in Q4 of the current fiscal year.

BHL further noted that Taj was recognized as the World's Strongest Hotel Brand 2025 and India's Strongest Brand 2025 by Brand Finance - UK. Taj Ganges successfully hosted a bilateral meeting between the prime minister of Mauritius and the prime minister of India.
