Adani Power forms hydroelectric joint venture in Bhutan

Adani Power Limited (APL) and Druk Green Power Corp. Ltd. (DGPC) have jointly incorporated "Wangchhu Hydroelectric Power Limited" in Bhutan. This new public company, established on October 15, 2025, will undertake a 570 MW hydroelectric project at Wangchhu. APL holds a 49% shareholding, while DGPC holds 51%. The certificate of incorporation was received on October 16, 2025.

The authorized capital of Wangchhu Hydroelectric Power Limited (WHPL) is BTN 30 bn, divided into 300 million shares of BTN 100 each. The initial contribution totals BTN 1,000 million, with APL contributing BTN 490 million and DGPC contributing BTN 510 million.

WHPL is currently pre-operational, with turnover listed as "Not Applicable" as it is yet to commence business operations. The company's primary objective is the generation and sale of power.
