IOL Chemicals secures key EU certificate for Pantoprazole Sodium

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited announced today that the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & Health Care (EDQM) has issued a Certificate of Suitability (CEP) for the company's API product, "Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate Process-III." This approval was granted on October 14, 2025.

Pantoprazole sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), is a vital pharmaceutical ingredient. It is commonly used to treat various conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. The CEP certificate confirms that IOL Chemicals' manufacturing process for this API meets European quality standards.

The announcement was made by abhay raj singh, senior vice president & company secretary. The company is listed on both the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. and BSE Limited.
