IHCL achieves significant growth, surpasses 250 operating hotels

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) announced accelerated growth in H1 FY2026, signing 46 new hotels and opening 26, including 14 additions through partnerships with Brij Hospitality and Clarks Group of Hotels. This expansion brings IHCL's total operating hotels in India to over 250, encompassing 25,500 rooms. A significant portion of new signings, particularly across the Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger brands, reflects a strategic focus on the mid-scale to upscale segments.

IHCL's growth momentum was further fueled by multi-hotel framework agreements with the Ambuja Neotia group for Taj, SeleQtions, and Tree of Life brands, and with Madison for the Ginger brand in South India. New Taj hotels were signed in locations such as Darjeeling, ECR Chennai, Pondicherry, Mohali, and Kruger National Park, South Africa, contributing to IHCL's goal of achieving a 700-hotel portfolio under its Accelerate 2030 strategy.

During the first half of FY2026, IHCL opened 12 hotels and onboarded an additional 14. Notable openings included Taj properties in Alibaug and Raichak, two SeleQtions resorts in Lakshadweep, and a Vivanta in Thane. The company also strengthened its presence in existing markets, adding a fourth Taj hotel in Udaipur, a Gateway in Coorg and Ahmedabad, a second SeleQtions in Haridwar, and a Ginger in Dehradun.
