Supreme court dismisses MSEDCL appeal, upholding APTEL order for Laxmi Organic

Laxmi Organic Industries Limited announced a pivotal development in its litigation against Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). On October 6, 2025, the Supreme Court dismissed MSEDCL's Special Leave Petition (SLP) challenging an earlier order from the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL).

The APTEL order, dated October 24, 2024, pertained to Appeal Nos. 245 of 2018 and 376 of 2018. Laxmi Organic Industries Limited confirmed receiving the Supreme Court's dismissal order on October 13, 2025. This dismissal means the SLP is now disposed of, and the APTEL order, which addresses the issue of wheeling charges and losses, has achieved finality.
