Sonata Software, adesso form global AI modernization alliance

Sonata Software, a modernization engineering company, and adesso SE, a major German IT service provider, have formed a global alliance to deliver AI-powered modernization solutions. The partnership, effective October 14, 2025, will leverage adesso’s strong European client base and local service delivery expertise, combined with Sonata Software’s scalable global delivery capabilities. The collaboration seeks to enhance customer experience, expand global reach, and offer tailored services to enterprise customers worldwide.

The alliance will focus on AI-driven business optimization and data analytics, scalable and agile delivery frameworks, robust governance and compliance, and strategic expansion into new markets. It is poised to create one of Microsoft's largest Business Applications partners globally, extending their joint footprint across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and India. Nicole Dezen of Microsoft highlighted that the combined strengths would enable organizations to modernize core systems, harness AI, and deliver business value across the Microsoft Cloud.

Samir Dhir, chief executive of Sonata Software, emphasized the partnership’s role in driving modernization at scale for global enterprises, expanding Sonata’s reach across Europe with highly skilled talent and deep EU expertise. Mark Lohweber, chief executive of adesso SE, noted that the alliance combines adesso’s market expertise with scalable global delivery to achieve measurable value and long-term competitiveness across regions.
