Welspun Corp appoints new chief human resource officer

Welspun Corp Limited has announced the appointment of Rakesh Mehta as its new chief human resource officer (CHRO), effective October 13, 2025. The decision, based on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, was approved by the company's board of directors. Mehta will be categorized as senior management personnel.

Concurrently, Bindu Nambiar, vice president – HR, will cease to be a senior management personnel from the same date due to changes in the organizational structure. She will, however, continue her employment with the company as vice president – HR. This announcement complies with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Mehta brings nearly three decades of HR leadership experience from prominent Indian conglomerates, including Uno Minda, JSW Energy, Reliance Industries, General Motors, Asian Paints, and Crompton Greaves. He is an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and is recognized for his expertise in cultural transformation, industrial relations, mergers & acquisitions, and people strategy.
