Reliance Power announces new non-executive director and interim CFO

Reliance Power Limited has appointed Arup Ashok Gupta as a non-executive and non-independent director, effective October 11, 2025. Gupta brings over 40 years of experience as a human resources leader across diverse industries and has been a key member of the Reliance Group for the past 16 years, shaping HR strategy. He holds a bachelor's degree in science (microbiology) and a master's in management studies (marketing) from the University of Mumbai.

In a related development, Neeraj Parakh, the current executive director and chief executive officer, has been given additional charge as the interim chief financial officer of the company. Parakh has over 29 years of professional experience, with more than 20 years at Reliance, and has been instrumental in delivering numerous large-scale projects totaling over 10 GW of power generation with a capital expenditure of ₹50,000 crore.

Both appointments were confirmed during the board of directors' meeting held on October 11, 2025. Gupta is not debarred from holding the office of director, and neither individual is related to any other directors of the company.
