Vesuvius India closes old plant, boosts capacity with new facility

Vesuvius India Limited has announced the closure of its VS Plant in Autonagar Plant, Visakhapatnam, effective October 13, 2025. This decision follows the successful start of commercial operations at the company's new Al-Si Monolithic Plant, referred to as the Parawada Plant or VX Plant, located in Parawada Industrial Area, Anakapalli.

The VS Plant contributed ₹337.92 crore to the company's turnover, representing 18.08% of the total, and had an estimated net worth of ₹258.72 lakh for the financial year ended December 31, 2024. The company clarified that the net worth for the VS Plant was estimated proportionately based on its revenue contribution, as plant-wise net worth data is not maintained.

Despite the closure, Vesuvius India does not anticipate any adverse material impact on its business operations or revenue. The transition marks a strategic move to enhance manufacturing capabilities with the new Parawada Plant.
