Sona Comstar partners NEURA Robotics for advanced robotics development

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NEURA Robotics GmbH to jointly develop advanced technologies, components, and sub-assemblies for robots and humanoids. This partnership also includes the industrialization of these products in India and other mutually agreed-upon markets. The collaboration aims to capitalize on rapid advancements in AI and decreasing computing costs, which are driving growth in industrial and humanoid robotics.

The collaboration will leverage Sona Comstar's expertise in electric powertrains, including motors, inverters, and gearboxes, with NEURA Robotics' cognitive robotics technologies. This strategic move aligns with Sona Comstar's vision to expand beyond the automotive domain into the broader mobility space, supporting intelligent manufacturing and service industries.

The agreement, announced on October 10, 2025, aims to deliver world-class automation solutions and create "Made in India" products for the global market, setting new standards for innovation and scalability in dynamic markets.
