NHPC begins reservoir filling for Subansiri Lower HE Project

NHPC Limited has announced a major update on its Subansiri Lower HE Project (2000 MW), confirming the commencement of reservoir filling. This follows the receipt of necessary permission from the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA). The company communicated this development in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The project involves four generating units, each with a capacity of 250 MW, totaling 1000 MW, which have already been boxed up. These units are scheduled for commissioning during the current financial year 2025-26. NHPC stated that further developments regarding the project will be communicated in due course.

This progress marks a significant milestone for the Subansiri Lower HE Project, moving it closer to operational status and contributing to NHPC's power generation capacity.
