Adani Energy Solutions reports strong Q2, FY26 operational growth

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) announced its provisional operational updates for Q2 and FY26, highlighting substantial growth across its businesses. The transmission network expanded by 190 ckm in Q2 FY26, reaching a total of 26,705 ckm, with the order book for new projects now standing at Rs 60,004 Cr. System availability remained strong at 99.63%.

In distribution, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) improved its distribution loss to 4.36% in Q2, with total units sold increasing by 2% to 2,650 million units (MUs). MPSEZ Utilities Limited (MUL) saw a 55% year-over-year growth in units sold, reaching 364 MUs. The company has re-certified as Zero Waste to Landfill for 100% of its operational sites in transmission.

Smart metering saw significant progress, with 18.2 lakh new meters installed in Q2 FY26, bringing the cumulative total to 73.7 lakh smart meters. A new contract for 18.36 lakh meters with AEML adds Rs 2,323 Cr to the smart metering order book, which now totals Rs 29,519 Cr.
