Gujarat Pipavav Port reports mixed performance for Q2 and half-year

Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited experienced a decrease in container throughput for Q2 FY26 (Jul-Sep 25), handling 164,000 TEUs, down from 179,000 TEUs in Q2 FY25. However, dry bulk volume saw a significant increase, reaching 1.05 Mn MT in Q2 FY26 compared to 0.46 Mn MT in the same period last year. Liquid cargo also rose to 0.38 Mn MT from 0.33 Mn MT year-over-year.

For the first half of FY26 (Apr-Sep 25), container volume stood at 328,000 TEUs, a slight decline from 344,000 TEUs in H1 FY25. Conversely, dry bulk cargo for H1 FY26 climbed to 1.60 Mn MT from 1.01 Mn MT in H1 FY25, while liquid cargo increased to 0.80 Mn MT from 0.67 Mn MT over the same period.

Ro-Ro units handled in Q2 FY26 increased to 56,000 units from 33,000 units in Q2 FY25, contributing to a half-year total of 99,000 units in H1 FY26, up from 71,000 units in H1 FY25. Container trains handled also saw a marginal dip, totaling 908 in H1 FY26 compared to 995 in H1 FY25.
