Crompton secures first major solar rooftop order, enters new market

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. secured its first major solar rooftop order in Telangana, valued at ₹52 Crs. This strategic move marks the company's official commercial debut in the large solar rooftop category and positions it as a credible player in India's expanding solar energy market. The solar rooftop market is estimated to be between ₹20,000-₹25,000 Crs and is projected to grow by over 20%.

This entry aligns with Crompton's broader strategy to expand its total addressable market from ₹75,000-₹1 Lakh Crore to ₹2 Lakh Crore. The combined solar pumps and solar rooftops segment represents a substantial opportunity size of ₹40,000-₹50,000 Crs. Crompton aims to leverage its trusted brand and extensive distribution network to capture this growth.
