Tilaknagar Industries gets CCI approval for Pernod Ricard acquisition

Tilaknagar Industries Limited (TIL) announced on October 8, 2025, that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved its proposed acquisition of the Business Undertaking of Pernod Ricard India Private Limited. The approval, granted by letter dated October 7, 2025, falls under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002.

This regulatory clearance follows TIL's initial communication on July 23, 2025, regarding its board's approval for the acquisition. The undertaking involves the business division responsible for the production, bottling, marketing, and sale of alcoholic and other beverages under the Imperial Blue Brands.

The acquisition terms are as outlined in the Business Transfer Agreement and its ancillary agreements. The notice to the CCI was filed on August 14, 2025, bearing Registration No. C-2025/08/1315.
