Bajaj Finserv buys Allianz stake, renames insurance subsidiaries

Bajaj Finserv Limited informed stock exchanges on October 7, 2025, of the acquisition of a 26% equity stake previously held by Allianz SE in its material insurance subsidiaries. This strategic move, executed pursuant to an agreement with Allianz SE, has led to a renaming of these subsidiaries, effective immediately following the issuance of fresh certificates of incorporation by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on the same date.

The change of names for the two unlisted subsidiaries is as follows: Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited is now Bajaj General Insurance Limited, and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited is now Bajaj Life Insurance Limited.

Furthermore, Bajaj Finserv and its promoter group companies are actively engaged in the process of acquiring the remaining stake held by Allianz in these aforementioned companies, contingent upon the fulfillment of specific covenants stipulated within the agreement between the parties.
