Tata Motors reports mixed Q3 production and sales

Tata Motors' latest SIAM report for July to September 2025 reveals a mixed performance in production, domestic sales, and exports. In passenger vehicles, compact models saw production increase from 27,156 units in Q3 2024 to 35,635 units in Q3 2025, alongside a rise in domestic sales from 27,391 to 33,918 units. Similarly, UVC models experienced a slight dip in production from 86,038 to 85,472 units, but domestic sales improved from 83,134 to 86,782 units.

Commercial vehicle segments, particularly Tippers and Haulage, showed varied trends. N1-A1 models recorded significant growth in production, up from 16,170 to 24,871 units, and domestic sales, increasing from 18,867 to 19,997 units. Exports also saw a substantial increase for several models. For instance, compact models' exports surged from 378 units to 1,964 units, and UVC models' exports rose from 440 to 1,563 units.

However, some segments like N3-A3 Tippers and Haulage saw production remain at 0 units, while domestic sales reached 7,100 units in Q3 2025. Buses Fully Built and Buses Chassis also presented a diverse picture, with some categories experiencing declines in production and sales, while others saw an increase in both domestic sales and exports. The report notes that figures are unaudited and may change.
