Tanfac doubles solar grade DHF capacity with second plant phase

Chennai, October 6, 2025 – Tanfac Industries Ltd. announced the successful commissioning of the second phase of its 5,000 TPA (AHF Basis) Solar Grade Dilute Hydro Fluoric Acid Plant. This followed the approval of trial production batches, which met stringent quality requirements. The first phase of this project, also 5,000 TPA (AHF Basis), was commissioned in June 2025.

With the completion of this second phase, Tanfac’s total Solar Grade DHF capacity has now reached 10,000 TPA (AHF Basis). Afzal Malkani, director, highlighted that Tanfac is the first and only Indian chemical company to achieve this milestone, anticipating a significant increase in the company's top and bottom lines. The implementation period for this expansion was 8-12 months.

Tanfac Industries, a joint sector company promoted by Anupam Rasayan India Limited and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), operates its manufacturing facilities in Cuddalore. The company, an ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certified entity, began commercial production in March 1985 and manufactures Anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Potassium Fluoride, and Potassium Bifluoride, among other derivatives.
