Prestige subsidiary faces ₹153.60 crore GST tax dispute

Prestige Mulund Realty Private Limited, a subsidiary of Prestige Estates Projects Limited, received a show cause notice on October 6, 2025. The Directorate General of Goods & Services Tax Intelligence, Mumbai, issued the notice alleging non-payment or short-payment of Goods & Services Tax under various acts.

The notice demands that Prestige Mulund Realty show cause within 30 days why GST amounting to ₹153.60 crores, along with an equivalent penalty and applicable interest, should not be claimed.

Prestige Estates Projects Limited asserts that, based on its assessment, the demand is not maintainable. The company is evaluating the matter and plans to take appropriate action, not anticipating any significant impact on its financials, operations, or other activities.
