Garden Reach Shipbuilders appoints new director and CFO

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) has announced the appointment of Shri Niranjan Mukund Bhalerao as its new director (finance) and chief financial officer (CFO). This appointment, effective October 6, 2025, follows a letter from the Ministry of Defence dated October 3, 2025, and is for a period of five years or until further orders.

Shri Bhalerao, 54, brings 29 years of diverse experience across refineries, pipelines, and corporate finance, primarily from Indian Oil Corporation Limited. A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he holds a B.com from Pune and has expertise in management accounting, corporate taxation, internal audit, and joint venture operations. He previously served as a nominee director for Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited.

GRSE confirmed that Shri Bhalerao has no inter-se relationship with other directors and does not hold any equity shares in the company. He is also not debarred from holding a director's office by any SEBI order or other authority.
