Deepak Nitrite opens advanced R&D center in Vadodara

Deepak Nitrite Limited inaugurated its new state-of-the-art Research & Development Centre (DRDC) 2.0 at Savali, Vadodara, on October 6, 2025. This 5-acre green campus is designed to be a world-class innovation hub, fostering the development of new products and technologies across chemicals, petrochemicals, and advanced materials. The facility builds on the company's legacy of patented breakthroughs, accelerating its pioneering work in scientific advancement.

The DRDC 2.0 features cutting-edge laboratories, comprehensive analytical facilities, an engineering unit, a piloting unit, and a polymer unit. It is equipped for the safe handling of various chemicals, including a dedicated unit for pressure reactors to ensure controlled and safe operations. Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, the DRDC will primarily operate using renewable solar energy.

The company is expanding its R&D capabilities and digital transformation efforts, with over 100 professionals, including PhDs, working at the center. This strategic investment aims to position Destination Bharat as a global hub for specialty chemicals, aligning with the national mission of 'Make in India, Make for the World.' Deepak Nitrite, certified by Ecovadis and TfS, also holds a 'Bronze Rating' from EcoVadis in 2024 for its sustainability initiatives.
