Brigade secures west Chennai land for ₹1,000 crore residential project

Brigade Enterprises Limited has entered into a joint development agreement for a 6.6-acre land parcel in West Chennai, with an estimated gross development value of ₹1,000 crore. This strategic move aims to deliver a premium residential project, leveraging Chennai's robust real estate market and infrastructure growth. The development, which will feature thoughtfully designed apartments and ESG-aligned infrastructure, is expected to launch in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

According to Pavitra Shankar, managing director, Chennai represents Brigade's second-largest market, making this joint venture crucial for deepening the company's presence and expanding its portfolio in the city. The project's location on a major arterial corridor offers seamless connectivity to industrial and business districts, creating an integrated, future-ready community.

Brigade Group, established in 1986, has nearly four decades of experience in property development across multiple Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, with projects spanning residential, office, retail, and hospitality sectors.
