REC appoints Thangarajan Subash Chandira Bosh as director (projects)

REC Limited has announced the appointment of Thangarajan Subash Chandira Bosh as director (projects), effective October 3, 2025. This appointment was conveyed by the ministry of power, government of India, and includes his roles as executive director, REC, and chief executive officer, REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited. Bosh will serve until May 31, 2029, or until further orders, marking his superannuation date.

Bosh brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the power sector, having held several key leadership positions, including chief executive officer of REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited. His previous roles also include executive director (engineering) at REC, where he demonstrated project leadership in financing power and infrastructure projects across both state-owned and private sectors.

His contributions include pivotal roles in implementing national electrification initiatives such as the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana – Saubhagya scheme, which led to universal household electrification. He is not debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or other authority.
