Pyramid Technoplast to open new plastic recycling plant

Pyramid Technoplast Limited is set to commence operations at its new Unit IX - Recycling plant on October 4, 2025. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to sustainability, transitioning its thermal power operations to a 15 MW renewable solar power plant.

The new recycling facility, located in Bharuch on 4447.80 sq. m of land acquired in August 2024, represents a capital expenditure of ₹8–10 crores. It is designed to recycle 5,000 metric tons of plastic annually, including HDPE plastic packaging material. This capacity is projected to cater to 10–12% of Pyramid Technoplast's raw material needs, contributing to meaningful savings and margin enhancement, and reducing reliance on imports.

The investment is expected to have an attractive payback period of 4 years, aligning with India's sustainability goals by significantly reducing plastic waste and strengthening Pyramid's ESG credentials. chairman and managing director Bijaykumar Agarwal stated that integrating recycling into the value chain will lower costs, reduce import reliance, and reinforce the company's ESG profile.
