ICICI Prudential Fund acquires over 5% stake in PI Industries

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, through its various schemes, announced the acquisition of 229,785 equity shares of PI Industries Ltd. on September 30, 2025. This acquisition, executed via the secondary market, has resulted in the fund's total shareholding in PI Industries exceeding 5% of the company's paid-up capital, triggering disclosure requirements under SEBI regulations.

Before this acquisition, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund held 7,537,998 shares, representing 4.97% of PI Industries' voting capital. The recent purchase increased their total holding to 7,767,783 shares, elevating their ownership to 5.12%. The fund clarified that this increased holding is for investment purposes and not intended to seek controlling interest in PI Industries.

The total equity share capital of PI Industries, both before and after the acquisition, remains at 151,718,118 shares, each with a face value of ₹1. The disclosure was made to BSE Limited, where PI Industries' shares are listed.
