Rail Vikas Nigam appoints new chief vigilance officer

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced the appointment of Shri Mukesh Sharma, an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer from the 1995 batch, as its new chief vigilance officer (CVO). The appointment is effective from October 1, 2025, following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for an initial period of three years or until further orders.

Mr. Sharma’s appointment as CVO was made pursuant to a DoPT Office Memorandum. He will be considered a part of the senior management personnel of RVNL from the effective date.

Prior to joining RVNL, Shri Mukesh Sharma served as director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) from 2015 to 2019, and subsequently as CVO of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RCIL) until March 31, 2022. He was most recently the PGM, BSNL BA, Delhi.
