NMDC sees strong iron ore production and sales growth in September

NMDC Limited announced its provisional iron ore production and sales figures for September 2025, reporting a substantial increase compared to the previous year. Monthly production for September 2025 reached 3.75 million tonnes (MT), up from 3.04 MT in September 2024. Sales for the month also rose to 3.88 MT from 3.54 MT in the same period last year. Chhattisgarh contributed 2.49 MT in production and 2.58 MT in sales for September 2025, while Karnataka added 1.26 MT in production and 1.30 MT in sales.

Cumulatively, for the period up to September 2025, total iron ore production stood at 22.20 MT, marking a significant increase from 17.47 MT recorded up to September 2024. Sales for the cumulative period also saw a healthy rise, reaching 22.25 MT compared to 19.80 MT in the previous year. Chhattisgarh's cumulative production and sales were 14.78 MT and 15.13 MT, respectively, while Karnataka reported 7.42 MT in production and 7.12 MT in sales up to September 2025. These figures indicate robust performance for the company in the current fiscal year.
