Mahindra sees strong sales growth in auto and farm sectors

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) reported a 16% growth in overall auto sales for September 2025, reaching 100,298 vehicles. This included a 10% increase in domestic Utility Vehicle sales to 56,233 units and an 18% rise in Commercial Vehicle sales to 26,728 units. The company noted a record Navratri SUV retail growth of over 60%, boosted by the GST rate cut and pre-festive demand. Total vehicle sales for the year-to-date September stood at 297,570 units, a 14% increase.

The Farm Equipment Business (FEB) also saw impressive growth, selling 64,946 tractor units in September 2025, a 50% year-on-year increase in domestic sales. This surge was attributed to the GST rate reduction and the preponement of Navratri. Total tractor sales, including exports, amounted to 66,111 units for the month. Year-to-date domestic tractor sales reached 247,336 units, up 20%.

However, Mahindra's Trucks & Buses Business (CV > 3.5T) experienced an 8% degrowth in overall sales, totaling 1,904 vehicles for September 2025. This was partially impacted by customer deferment of purchases due to the introduction of GST 2.0. Despite this, year-to-date sales for the Trucks & Buses Business showed a 5% growth, reaching 14,588 units.
