GMR Power and Urban Infra reappoints auditors and independent directors

GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited announced the reappointment of M/s Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, chartered accountants, as statutory auditors for a second consecutive five-year term. The term is effective from the conclusion of the sixth annual general meeting (AGM) until the 11th AGM in 2030. This decision was approved by shareholders at the AGM held on Monday, September 29, 2025. Walker Chandiok & Co LLP has 90 years of experience in India, providing audit and assurance services and serving as auditors for numerous large companies, including Top 100 listed entities.

Additionally, M/s. V. Sreedharan & Associates, company secretaries, was appointed as the secretarial auditor for an initial five-year term, covering FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30. The firm specializes in secretarial audit and corporate law and brings over 30 years of professional practice experience.

Shareholders at the sixth AGM also approved the reappointment of Shantanu Ghosh, Dr. Fareed Ahmed, and Ms. Suman Naresh Sabnani as independent directors for their second five-year term. Their term is effective from the conclusion of the sixth AGM or until the 11th AGM, whichever is earlier. All reappointed directors meet the criteria of independence.
