Angel One appoints Sridhar Govardhan as new GCISO

Angel One Limited has appointed Sridhar Govardhan as group chief information security officer (GCISO), effective October 1, 2025. This strategic hire aims to strengthen the company's secure and resilient technology platform, enhance its information security, and safeguard client trust. Govardhan brings over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, having held leadership positions at CoinDCX, Flipkart, and Wipro.

In his most recent role at CoinDCX, Govardhan served as senior vice president and head of information security, where he developed a comprehensive information security framework for Web 3.0 and secured key security certifications. His tenure also saw him file a patent for a cognitive intelligence-based solution to secure crypto wallet private keys. Prior to CoinDCX, he was the vice president and head of information security at Flipkart and rose to chief information security officer at Wipro. He holds three granted patents in AI-driven cybersecurity and malware detection, along with two in-progress patents in crypto and deception technology.
