Shree Cement expands capacity, faces environmental penalty in West Bengal

Shree Cement Limited has commissioned a new clinkerisation unit with a capacity of 3.65 MTPA at its integrated cement plant in Tehsil Jaitaran, District Beawar, Rajasthan, effective September 30, 2025. This expansion marks a notable increase in the company's production capabilities.

Concurrently, Shree Cement East Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, received an order from the chief engineer (operations & execution), West Bengal Pollution Control Board. This order, dated September 24, 2025, imposed a penalty of INR 10,00,000 for violations of environmental norms, including observations related to fugitive emission, rainwater harvesting, and wind-breaking walls.

Shree Cement stated the environmental order has no major financial impact on the company and that necessary legal measures are being taken to address the issues.
