POWERGRID secures major inter-state transmission project, executive director retires

POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited has been declared the successful bidder for an Inter-State Transmission System project titled "Inter-Regional Strengthening between SR Grid and WR Grid." The project will operate on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

POWERGRID received the Letter of Intent on September 29, 2025, for the project, which involves 765 kV D/c Transmission Lines across Karnataka and Maharashtra, including associated line bays.

In a separate announcement, POWERGRID disclosed that Anoop Singh, executive director, ceased to be an executive director as of September 30, 2025, due to his superannuation.
