BHEL secures significant power plant contracts from Madhya Pradesh utility

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received Notifications of Award (NOA) from M.P. Power Generating Company Ltd. (MPPGCL) for two new projects. The NOA, issued on September 29, 2025, covers EPC packages for a 1x660 MW Amarkantak Unit no. 6 and a 1x660 MW Satpura Unit no. 12 Supercritical Thermal Power Plants, both in Madhya Pradesh.

These are domestic engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) works, including equipment supply, erection and commissioning, and civil works. The contracts, secured through an open tender inquiry, are valued in the range of INR 13,000 Crore to INR 15,000 Crore, excluding taxes and duties.

Each plant is scheduled for completion within 57 months from the NOA date. BHEL confirmed there are no related party transactions involved, and no promoter or promoter group companies have an interest in the entity awarding the contracts.
