Karur Vysya Bank opens 895th branch in Chennai, expanding network

Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has expanded its physical presence by opening a new branch in Pallikaranai, Chennai, bringing its total branch count across the country to 895. The new branch, inaugurated on September 29, 2025, by P. Ponniah, ias, commissioner of rural development and panchayat raj, and C. Jamuna Sakthivel, principal, Velammal Bodhi Campus, Pallikaranai, will offer a comprehensive suite of banking services including accounts, deposits, and loans, catering to retail, institutional, and consumer lending needs.

Ramesh Babu, managing director & CEO of Karur Vysya Bank, emphasized the bank's commitment to expanding its presence in growing Indian centers and strengthening connections with urban communities. KVB also highlights its digital offerings, including internet banking and the KVB DLite mobile banking app, which provides over 150 features for financial and non-financial services.

As of June 30, 2025, Karur Vysya Bank reported a total business of Rs. 1,96,024 cr., with a deposit base of Rs. 1,06,650 cr. and advances at Rs. 89,374 cr. The bank's net profit for Q1FY26 stood at Rs. 521 crores, and its net NPA was 0.19%. The bank maintains 894 branches and over 2226 ATMs & cash recyclers.
