MedPlus subsidiary faces drug license suspensions in Karnataka, Telangana

MedPlus Health Services Limited announced that its subsidiary, Optival Health Solutions Private Limited, has received two suspension orders for drug licenses for stores in Karnataka and Telangana.

The Assistant Director, Drugs Control Administration, Mandya Circle-Mandya, Karnataka, issued a five-day suspension for a store on Malavalli Mysore Road, Karnataka. Concurrently, the assistant director, Drugs Control Administration, Nalgonda, Telangana, issued a three-day suspension for a store at Psr Center Suryapet, Telangana. Both orders were received on September 27, 2025.

The suspensions are attributed to violations under Rule 65 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945. MedPlus estimates a potential revenue loss of Rs 0.96 lacs from the Karnataka suspension and Rs 1.01 lacs from the Telangana suspension.
