Hindustan Unilever appoints Priya Nair as managing director and CEO

Hindustan Unilever Limited announced the results of its postal ballot held on September 27, 2025, confirming the appointment of Priya Nair as managing director and chief executive officer. Nair will serve a five-year term from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2030, and will not be liable to retire by rotation.

The resolution garnered significant shareholder support, with 99.88% of votes cast in favor. Out of 2,010,314,514 valid electronic votes received, 2,007,918,757 were in favor, while 2,395,757 votes were against the resolution.

Nair's remuneration package includes a basic salary of INR 3,75,00,000 per annum, with total fixed remuneration (inclusive of basic salary, allowances, and retirals) of INR 9,21,86,717 per annum. She is also eligible for an annual bonus ranging from 0% to 400% of her fixed remuneration, contingent on company and individual performance, and share grants at 100% of the target annual bonus. Her appointment is subject to approval from the Central Government.
