Telangana government to acquire L&T Metro Rail project

Larsen & Toubro Limited informed stock exchanges on September 26, 2025, about an in-principle understanding reached with the Government of Telangana (GOT) regarding the takeover of the L&T Metro Rail project. This agreement will see GOT refinance the current debt and acquire equity in L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited at agreed values.

The company expects the divestment process to be completed by the end of the current fiscal year, FY26. Further necessary disclosures will be submitted under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, at the appropriate time.
