RailTel secures nearly 9.7 bn rupee order for Bihar education project

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has been awarded a significant contract for establishing Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs on a turn-key basis in government secondary and senior secondary schools across Bihar. The order, received from the State Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC), falls under the Samagra Shiksha program for the academic years 2025-26. The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) was dated September 25, 2025.

The estimated value of the order, as per the LOA, is INR 9,70,07,79,510/-. This domestic contract involves the supply and establishment of these crucial educational facilities. The execution period for this order is set until September 24, 2026.

RailTel confirmed that neither the promoter nor any promoter group companies have an interest in the entity that awarded the order, nor does the contract constitute a related party transaction. The company also stated there is no delay in reporting this information.
