JSW Steel wins Bhushan Power and Steel resolution plan appeal

JSW Steel Limited announced today, September 26, 2025, that the Supreme Court has delivered its judgment concerning the resolution plan for Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd. (BPSL). The Supreme Court dismissed appeals filed by BPSL's erstwhile promoters and operational creditors, upholding the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal's judgment dated February 17, 2020. This decision follows JSW Steel's earlier disclosure on July 31, 2025, regarding a review order.

The judgment is a landmark in corporate resolutions, preserving the sanctity of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, by affirming the finality of implemented resolution plans.
