GHCL announces temporary soda ash plant shutdown for maintenance

GHCL Limited informed the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited about a forthcoming annual scheduled maintenance shutdown of its soda ash plant. The temporary closure for planned maintenance activities is slated to occur from September 26, 2025, to October 12, 2025. This shutdown is being undertaken to perform essential maintenance tasks crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operations of the plant.

The company anticipates a production shortfall of approximately 22,000 to 25,000 tons due to this maintenance period. However, GHCL assured stakeholders that it possesses a sufficient reserve stock of soda ash to fulfill customer requirements, indicating no adverse impact on supply commitments during the shutdown.

GHCL requested that this information be disseminated to all concerned parties in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The announcement was signed by Bhuwneshwar Mishra, vice president – sustainability & company secretary.
