Bharat Petroleum selects KFin Technologies as new registrar and share transfer agent

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) announced on September 26, 2025, that its board of directors approved a change in the company's registrar and share transfer agent (RTA). The company will transition from M/s Data Software Research Co. Pvt. Ltd. to M/s KFin Technologies Limited (KFin Tech). This decision was made in accordance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The rationale for this change stems from the exponential growth in BPCL's shareholder base over the past few years. KFin Tech was selected through a structured process, acknowledging its substantial market share in RTA services. While the appointment of KFin Tech is confirmed, the effective date of this change will be communicated to the stock exchanges following the completion of definitive agreements and in due course.

Data Software Research Co. Pvt. Ltd. will continue to manage the RTA responsibilities until the full data transition is complete, including the shifting of electronic connectivity and other related procedural confirmations from NSDL and CDSL. BPCL will oversee all formalities for the RTA change, including documentation, agreement execution, electronic connectivity migration, and data transition, to be completed in due course.
