STL expands Netomnia partnership for UK full-fibre rollout

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) announced on September 25, 2025, an expanded partnership with Netomnia, the UK's second-largest alternative network provider. This collaboration will co-develop advanced optical solutions to support Netomnia's capital-efficient, full-fibre network rollout across the UK. STL will provide end-to-end FTTH connectivity solutions, including optical fibre cables and optical connectivity, designed to reduce material consumption and carbon footprint with an impressive ~20% average area reduction.

Netomnia is actively deploying a 10 Gbps XGS-PON full-fibre network, currently serving 2.8 million serviceable premises and ~400,000 connected premises. With an annual build rate of one million premises, Netomnia aims to reach three million serviceable premises by the end of 2025 and five million by the end of 2027. This expanded partnership leverages STL's nearly two decades of regional experience and robust global supply chain to accelerate rollout speed and reduce the total cost of ownership for Netomnia's network, which is backed by over £1.6 billion in funding.
